O Canada

O Canada is a type of boat called an Open 60. It is a monohull, high-performance, racing boat, designed for single-handed competition. Canadian Ocean Racing (COR) is Canada’s premier offshore racing team which operates and sails the O Canada.

Canadian Ocean Racing is dedicated to promoting the sport of offshore racing in Canada and finding the next generation of offshore sailors. The team was founded in 2015 and they have taken O Canada on a journey through the International Monohull Open Class Association.

O Canada is raced by Morgen Watson and Sandy Macpherson and they are currently on a mission to be at the starting line for the Barcelona World Race (2018) and Vendee Globe (2020) which involves a non-stop, single handed race around the world – unassisted!
